Privacy Notice

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Safe and Reliable Energy Denver (the “Committee,” “we,” or “us”) is a Denver issue committee. This notice explains how we collect, use, and share personal data through SafeEnergyDenver.com and our campaign activities, and how Colorado residents may exercise their privacy rights.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address or ZIP code, form responses, communications, and consent and opt-out records.

Information we collect automatically. Your IP address, browser and device information, pages and links viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, and cookie, pixel, device, or advertising identifiers.

How We Use It

We use personal data to respond to requests, communicate with voters and supporters, organize campaign activities, conduct research and outreach, maintain records and preferences, deliver and measure political advertising, operate and secure the website, and comply with law.

How We Share It

We share personal data with vendors and consultants that provide campaign data, communications, mail, field, telephone, email, text-messaging, website hosting, analytics, advertising, security, or legal-compliance services, and with advertising platforms to deliver and measure political advertising. We also share it with professional advisers or government authorities when required by law.

Advertising and Privacy Choices

We disclose identifiers, campaign-audience information, and online activity to advertising platforms to deliver and measure political advertising. Colorado law treats this as targeted advertising and may treat it as a sale of personal data. We do not use personal data for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning a person.

Text Messages

When you affirmatively opt in, we may send recurring campaign text messages, including messages sent using an automated system. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent records are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose them to service providers and telecommunications carriers solely to operate the messaging program, maintain consent and opt-out records, comply with law, or follow your direction.

Children

This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

Your Colorado Privacy Rights

Colorado residents may confirm whether we process their personal data; access, correct, or delete it; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of sale and targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Submit a request through the Privacy Request Form or email info@safeenergydenver.com with the subject line Colorado Privacy Request. We will respond within 45 days and may extend that period by 45 days when reasonably necessary. An authorized agent may use the same methods to submit an opt-out request and should identify themselves as an agent. We may verify your identity or the agent’s authority using information reasonably related to prior interactions with the Committee.

To appeal a decision, email info@safeenergydenver.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal and identify the decision being appealed. If we deny the appeal, you may submit a complaint to the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov/file-complaint.

Changes

If we make a material change to this notice, we will post it here and revise the date above before applying the change to personal data we already collected.
